A Little Note, From Me to You (Patreon)

For a little over a year now, hundreds of people have stumbled upon me and my work and felt that the things I write and record were worth supporting financially. I don't know if the reality of this will ever really set in, but what has set in is the immense appreciation I feel for all of my patrons. Whether you've been here from the beginning, are a more recent pledge, or only pledging temporarily, your contribution has quite literally changed my life.

That's not hyperbole, not at all an exaggeration. Never in my life have I had what I'd call financial stability. There are a lot of things that factored into that, mental health, bad luck, things of that nature. I desperately wanted to make things work my way, because I just couldn't make it work the way everyone in my life seemed to think I should have been able to.

I spent a lot of time trying to find my niche, my thing, my path. It's fitting that it would be something as ridiculous as what I'm doing now with my microphone. 

It is hard to express just how thankful I am. Saying it is one thing, but I try and express it by working as hard as I can to keep going, keep improving, and keep entertaining all of you. I want people to be proud when they say "I'm a Patron of YuuriVoice!"

I woke up today soaked in how much things have changed for me over this short period of time. This time last year I was worried that everything would turn to dust very suddenly, because that's all I've really known when it comes to like...making progress. I've had the rug pulled out from under me, the sky fell, and I'd have to start back at square one. It's scary, and I don't want that for anyone (and if you happen to be in that place right now, you better keep your money, because you need it!).

But now? Now I don't have that fear looming over my shoulder. And that's because I've got 300+ people to thank for shining a light on that dark place. 

In the coming months I'm going to be doing some polls and surveys to see what I can improve upon for Patrons, get some ideas and see if I can do an even better job for you all. I appreciate all the patience and kindness you all show me, and I want to be able to create the best experience I can for everyone. 

So, thank you!
