As far as on the rambling: I actually kind of like free form updates. Your normal stuff seems very well thought out, planned, and produced, that it's nice to have a casual side. Maybe throughout the month, make a small list of just topics you could give updates on (plans for your youtube, cons coming up, real life stuff, ect). That way you can still keep the casual and free form flow, but not feel like your rambling with no real topics to move to and from. I tend to ramble if I don't have an outline, so I get the struggle. And you go find a butt, and you touch it. Or have someone touch yours. I believe in you. You can do the thing.
