Important Notice (Patreon)

Hello Patrons. I've got an important message for everyone which may affect the future of this Patreon. I just discovered today that many of my Patreon files have been leaked onto Kemono Party. This includes a lot from the £3 tier, with sketches, polls and finished works included on there. I'm not sure how other artists have dealt with this before, but I feel like this is not fair on my regular patrons who pay for the subscription monthly and contribute towards supporting my art career. I don't like posting sketches on places like FA and dA, and the rest of my completed work usually ends up on one of my sites eventually. I don't appreciate having stuff taken stuff directly from Patreon without prior permission

And so right now I am looking for a potential solution to this problem and I would appreciate your feedback and input in how to deal with it. I have a couple of ideas so far but they do come with downsides and they may end up hurting my long subscribers of the Crescent Moon (£3) tier. One idea was to introduce a new tier between Crescent Moon and Half Moon (maybe at £4 or so?) which would be the new minimum to see sketches, since sketches are a big part of my content. This would then leave the Crescent Moon Tier for seeing final pieces and taking part in polls. I would wait to see what people would think of this first though before implementing, and I'm still open for suggestions.

so maybe not ideal, but a potential measure against piracy like that would be to create a discord for the purpose of a Patreon galleries, and connect it to Patreon so only appropriate tiers have access to the galleries

Art leaks; that's just the nature of the internet. Don't sweat it too much. I would recommend making an explicit time - Just post everything publicly after 3mo or so. The publicity is worth more than the exclusitvity after a time.

Interesting, I could certainly have a look to see how they work. My only worry is whether the kemono.party will still be able to get their hands on stuff from there, especially as their site mentions discord as one of their sources

That is a very fair point, especially as they will tend to find ways around things regardless of what we do. With the exception of my Pokémon series the stuff I have here that are exclusives are WIP and sketches, both things I don't like to post on my main sites. Everything else eventually makes its way onto the main sites within a week or so. I suppose I could upload the sketch rewards ala Watsap at some point if people would like that?
