alright, this short comic strip thingy is done! ahh man i wish i couldve had it done by the end of the month but i didn't really want to rush it honestly. Also the extra time gave me a bit of room to work on making backgrounds! now i should probably preface in saying that i don't particularly count a floor, fancy column, and a few leaves to be considered an in-depth background, but working on one nonetheless felt great to do! trying to gain more confidence into how i portray the characters in whatever environment they are in as well as incorporating reflective colors based on it! As mentioned before in passing, i know it's not the most architectualized detailed background in the world, but i thought it definitely kept things held together on what's going on in the scene, mood, COLOR, and variety!

Not saying that i don't like the monotone colors i choose for backgrounds sometimes, however what i do personally despise is the sacrifice that comes with it such as the spatial awareness, mood, and the many other aspects i've mentioned already. Now i need to understand how to atmospherically light the characters based on the background (amongst many things i need to learn of course) because for this, i just used a simple overlay layer to emphasize that there are yellow lights surrounding the character, however it can definitely become more complicated in dim/natural light situations. I will of course trek on this whenever the time comes but as of now, i'm glad i was able to do a background that i actually feel satisfied with for the time being c: hope you all like!
