Raven Set 1 (Patreon)

Alright, took a bit of time but i finally finished it! Going to start working on the second set as soon as i can. And as before, you guys get to see this early and won't be posted to the public until i complete the entire set. What mostly ate up my time was finding the color scheme that i thought fit best for her since her original design has a more darker grey skin tone and a more more visibly purplish hair along with a blueish cloak while her Teen Titans go design has a different hairstyle, darker hair, lighter skin tone and a purplish cloak. So what i decided was giving a mix of both designs of the color scheme where i chose her clothes to have the blueish color tone so that purple isnt overpowering or overall design isnt too purple, chose a middle ground between her visible purplish hair to almost black, lighter skin tone and i was overall pleased with the colors in the finalized piece!

As for the text, i thought a nice strong yellow would be great to use since it kind of reminds me of the original Teen Titans c: and oh man, the spandex/leather was definitely a nightmare on my part. I haven't practice that texture in such a while (at least not in full body) so finding the right tones for the highlights of it was difficult. pure white just seemed too overpowering to me and i needed to understand 3D shape a bit more to understand where light falls correctly on objects for that amount of highlights. i had to lighten up the base color temporarily in order to see the lineart for the placement of the highlights as well. To me that bit was definitely annoying, however it relieved me from having to actually do any shading on her suit x) it was definitely fun using purely only highlight to accentuate the shape of her body. Alright, welp i don't want to babble on too much, classes are starting for me soon and i gotta get to working on the second set!
