Page 2 of Plain Ol’ Wife is done! As simple as this project is, I have to say I think one of the biggest things I’m learning is how to create “shortcuts” in how to deliver to least amount of information as possible to convey the same message as I would in full rendered images. I know I’ve mentioned this before but there are some elements that I found interesting that created such shortcuts like the prominent use of screen layers to evoke a “positive” light source, not as just rim lighting but also as just some surface spread light which I’ve done lightly on her dress, more particularly her thighs, legs, and bum area. A super minor detail but I think one that emits that information I’m looking for to demonstrate a sense of her shape without stressing both worlds of cell shade and rendered.
