Hey guys, I've been thinking a lot about the current rewards and system I've been doing for Patreon. I don't think it's working all that well anymore, and I believe it's partially my fault.

I stopped working on a particular comic because I was getting burnt out, harassed for it, and other unpleasant stuff from the fandom it came from. So I lost a lot of support, deducing that those particular folks were only there because of that comic, rather than my art in general. It's understandable, if I'm not drawing what they like, why give me any money, ya?

Because I lost so much support, I've been having to take commissions again to make up for the lost income, which sometimes I can be slow on depending on what's being asked. Commissions + Creating content for two Patreon (I paused my other one again temporarily because I was falling behind) was taking a toll on my health.

I've been talking to my friend Fluff-Kevlar on how he runs his patreon to get some tips to maybe get back on my feet. He does more request streams, one major pinup with variations, and comic pages. I remember talking to you guys about comics a while back but it fell through because I had stupidly taken on too much workload.

So I'm proposing, in hopes of getting more patrons involved with patreon (seriously, your feedback helps me), maybe helping me out with comic pages? I'll post like a WIP/Thumbnail, and you can critique the page, what I could add, take away, etc etc. For pinups...it'd mean less content monthly, but it will be voted on what will be drawn by EVERYONE and not just a select tier. That way, everyone gets a say if they want their voices heard.

I'll definitely do more request streams if I can get back to my 2k goal. A set date per one to two weeks for a couple of hours.

And..comics...I have a lot of unfinished comics, so I propose maybe one to two pages a month, and then alternating to work on a different comic each month so I don't get burnt out on the first one. The comics will be slower to update, but in this fashion, at least they'll be worked on, right?

I've been releasing lower resolution/quality patreon pics from previous months after about a month or so, perhaps I should lower that down to every couple of weeks?

I haven't been recording my videos as often as I should, but with the one major pinup monthly, there should be more to view if people like recorded videos.

What I'm saying is, I appreciate your support right now, and I could really REALLY use your input on how to improve my Patreon, and attract more potential supporters.

That seems like a good plan to me. Just don't run yourself in to the ground, Kayla.

Well, this was a FANTASTIC start to making your patreon better. Informing your patrons and asking for their help makes us feel like we matter and not just our money. As for the comics, yes go at your own pace and I do believe it will bring back more patrons/followers. Good luck and I hope things improve in your financial situation.

I'm happy to help any way I can, but I don't think I'd be of any use. I don't have additional money to raise my level, I'm not much of an art critic, I don't know anyone I'm close enough to to share my porn with, and I'm really happy continuing to pay for your art. I'll try to be a little more vocal if that's what would help, I'm just used to blending into the shadows rather than making a lot of noise and being noticed.

That's a good idea, balance out your work load so you don't burn yourself out

Too be honest, I don't have any kind of advice that would be helpful in this case. I don't use patreon as a source of income, nor am I a legitimate artist (i'm an engineering technician). But I can say that reaching out for help is the big first step there Kayla, and a shout out too Fluff for helping you out. However, I can say that I've never once been dissappointed by you, and it has been worth supporting you each month.

I am willing to add some input in helping you with your Patreon c:

Honestly, the only thing I can suggest and don't hurt yourself trying to revamp. I've simply been following your art for years, and whenever i found out you had a Patreon and I had a stable job, I just decided to start supporting you. I suppose the only advice I could offer, you've already sort of covered, you seemed to bounce around to different projects pretty often, I enjoy all the work you do, but it does seem some things got pushed off to the side pretty often without being finished. I do understand burn out, so I can't even really be that critical there. You've never done anything that annoyed me or pissed me off, so unfortunately my input isn't particularly stellar.

Well speaking to us and letting us know is a definite start and we appreciate that a lot From what I've seen on other Patreons they stick to the monthly plan a lot. I can't imagine how much you get harassed and annoyed by certain people or if you simply lose interest in a comic but I will say if you stay on the comics you start that'd help. I feel like if you'd make a commitment to the comics you start that may bring in more people. It seems to work for the other artists I support. You stay on the track you set, don't let anyone force you to bring down your work

Been here awhile and will continue to stay put! Anything you want to run past us or get our input on I'll offer what I can, and thank you for being upfront about it Kayla!

I'll keep supporting you Kayla, I love you and your artwork, so maybe you should slow down on Comics from what I'm getting out of this is that; Comics are burning you out, I understand, I tried my hand at drawing Comics it's not easy- I mean it's definitely not animating but, It's not as easy as simple pin-up. Do what you feel is best for you, I'll still be here loving everything you put out!! P.S. If you have commissions open, I'd like to purchase one if possible.
