I think with Jim it was always like he was kinda of the straight man of the series so to speak. Like he's us the audience seeing all these ridiculous people he works with so we felt sympathy for him. But with Charles as now an ultra serious guy, we see that Jim was pretty ridiculous too. So we both want Jim to get his comeuppance but we also want Charlies to see how much crazier everyone else is.

michael and pam's dynamic is one of my favorite things about the whole series. it's just really sweet and special. they always have each others backs. thinking back on her art show and how he was the only one who came to genuinely be supportive, and now this storyline. it's just really sweet and something really unexpected and kind of underrated

One thing that's always been made clear too is that Jim gets his work done while screwing around still. It's really weird that anyone would even think Jim needs a 'comeuppance'. He's by far the most normal competent person there. I've never worked anywhere in my life where people don't screw with the Dwights of the world. Doesn't mean they're not good workers.

Jimmy you should watch the deleted and bloopers for the office after you finish the show they are hilarious and some add more context to stuff.

While I did describe Jim as a bully in the earlier seasons...I think he developed a lot in that department. And to be honest I don't know why he would need any comeuppance. For what exactly. He didn't do anything to Charles, he didn't do anything to hurt the company. Dwight has done worse things. And their feud/ friendship is between them and has nothing to do with Charles. He's also very often the voice of reason in this office and certainly the most competent. He also does his work. So...I'm not sure why he would need any comeuppance. I was not the biggest fan of Jim in the earlier seasons, but I came to like him more and more later on. Because like I said before: I wasn't a big fan of the "will they/won't they" storyline between him and Pam. It took up too much room for me in the show. And now since they are together we have time for other storylines and I enjoy both characters a lot more. I always loved Pam but since she's with Jim she has more interesting storylines. And I don't miss their drama in the first three seasons. Which is why I enjoy them so much as a couple. Less drama, more interesting storylines and character development.
