My favorite part of the reaction was the beginning. Jimmy looking at a black screen for 3 minutes. So funny 🤣🤣🤣 This was more entertaining then the rest. If you upload a youtube reaction, you should include it. 😂

Unlike Dracula, I completely agree with you here. This is such a hit an miss for me. But as a whole I just didn't vibe with it. It's a movie you can watch once, but there's no urge to ever watch it again. Which is why I couldn't get through the entire reaction (sorry!). A clockwork orange, the first half of Full Metal Jacket - I could watch over and over again. This one definitely not. And I don't criticize movies by their rewatchability. There are plenty of brilliant movies that I watched only once or twice. But this one is just boring. As stunning as it is visually. I get that in 1968 this must have been the greatest experience ever. But when I watch it now, there's nothing that really grasps me besides the music. Pretentious is also a word I don't use very often. But I think it applies here. And I would never use that word for any other Kubrick film.

Alright I'm that person. I LOVE this movie. I'm a huge Kubrick fan and this is thee film for me. Now do I get this film. Hell No! I could barely break it down to you and w/o watching many theories on what its about still can barely explain it to people. But I love the film from start to end and my thought changes many times every time I watch.

TouchTheGarlic

A very important movie in the history of cinema, but not an easy one to watch. I was bored out of my mind when I first watched it as a kid. I liked it a little more when I rewatched it as a teen, but for me the HAL stuff stands head-and-shoulders above the rest, which is a slog.
