The gorgeous music for Part 1 and 2 was made by Alexandre Desplat, who also did The Grand Budapest Hotel. Makes sense that you notice right away how great it is! The opening scene and the music piece "obliviate" is just huntingly beautiful. And yes Hermoines's mum is being played by Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark). 🙂

why would you expect a Mistletoe scene? 😂 There is nothing between Harry and Hermione. He only danced with her to cheer her up, which was a bit awkward but I loved it at the same time. He loves her as a best friend which is why he would want to make her feel better. Of course when I saw it in the cinema back then there were these teenage girls and they were giggling during that scene. Because they thought Harry and Hermione fell in love in that moment. But that's not what it's about at all. There was this one moment when they looked at each other afterwards and it was sort of a test to see if they have romantic feelings for each other. But they don't. 🙂 They are just best friends ❤

yeah Dobby's death is supposed to be frustrating. But he died a hero, saving his friend. Which goes back to the second movie when Harry wanted Dobby to promise him that he would never try to save his life again. ❤❤ And the music is again...heartbreaking. The darkest part of this franchise has always been the amount of characters that get killed off. Especially Harry has lost so many friends, protectors and family. 😭 you really understand his frustration at this point because he has to watch people die around him.

What annoys me about the Harry Potter films the side characters get completely forgotten about until they're needed. Dobbys death is pretty sad in the film but in the books it's heartbreaking, Dobby is in every book from Chamber of Secrets onwards. He gets a job at Hogwarts after being freed, he is a constant presence in Harry's life and dies protecting him. In the films he just disappears after the second film and pops back up again just so they could do his death scene in this movie, but they never took any time to develop the character throughout the movies

I agree. that's a big problem in the movies. Characters we've never seen or heard of before get intruduced and are all of a sudden relevant for one or two scenes and then disappear again. It always bothered me. And the actual important characters disappear completely for several movies. The books always did a better job with balancing so many characters.

Can’t believe you didn’t notice Luna’s dad is Otto Hightower

Ninaofthe90s

Yes! Forgot to mention it 🙂 he's also Spike from Notting Hill. 😃 I guess Rhys Ifans is not easily recognizable.

Incredible film. Can't wait for part 2
