- The Abyss: James Cameron underwater thriller starring Ed Harris. Epic. - Rounders: Matt Damon/Edward Norton poker movie that I swear isn't boring. - Lucky Number Slevin - Fun flick with Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Lucy Liu - Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut) - Ridley Scott epic about the Crusades - The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - Cohen Bros. western anthology - And hell, why not - Lone Star (1996) Lone Star is the most obscure here, but it's excellent. I'll just list the cast here for you: Chris Cooper, Matthew McConaughey, Kris Kristofferson, Joe Morton, Frances McDormand, Elizabeth Pena... fantastic.

Just Cause (1995) [seriously slept on, terrific cast], and The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) [insane true events, just saw the exhibit in Chicago this past weekend and am currently reading the book]

Doctor sleep (a fun, and intense Shining sequel) and Sorry to bother you (surreal and very original dark comedy with LaKeith Stanfield)

Seconded, I've submitted Timecrimes before. I do think it'd have to be a dealer's choice, not enough people have seeen it for it to win a poll. It's amazing.
