It's such a shame that this show seems to be cancelled for good (assuming no one else is ever able/willing to pick it up). Phenomenal series and it really deserved a final season.... As for The Atlanta Child Murders...I don't imagine we'll ever know for sure. I've seen a couple of documentaries, read the book this show is based on, and I personally believe Wayne killed at least a good portion of those victims. I don't, however, believe he killed all 29. I think they pinned several on him because it was an easy finger to point. There are many that were outside the pattern (girls, older men). I feel awful for the families. There was a documentary that just came out a year or two ago that I watched and it seems very clear that some will never admit to the possibility of it being Wayne because he's a black man. It's a messy situation, to say the least. It's just very sad there's no closure to be had. Loved watching these, Jimmy. Thanks for reacting to it 😊

Holden is BY FAR my favorite character in the show. I mean it's not even close. I really like Bill, and his private life is more interesting than Holden's. But him as a character is just not as special or interesting as Holden. And...Holden in his prime at work - god damn! His scenes with serial killers are fascinating and by far my favorite scenes in the show...mostly because of the bond he creates with them and the way he talks to them. Or the way he gets to the truth by speaking their language. NOTHING comes close. I don't need Bill as much during those scenes. I could watch entire episodes of just Holden and Kemper or any other serial killer talking. So yeah this might be a reason season 1 is superior to season 2. There are more scenes with Holden and his brilliant conversations. Edit: I mean...just think of the scene with him and they guy who killed that little cheerleader girl. Brilliant.

Just When I Thought I Was Out...

Wayne Williams was actually seen in a close up in an earlier episode with the press. The guy Holden based on basically said later while Wayne Williams most certainly killed a lot of the kids, something else was going on with a few of the others. Widely suspected some sort of conspiracy with some of the murders. Since season 3 seems unlikely, if you're curious to what it would have been it is linked below. Hollywood mainstream movies. https://collider.com/mindhunter-season-3-storyline-hollywood-michael-mann-andrew-dominik-comments/ While I love that you are enjoying these shows, they're great, I think it might be nice if you get to see something not super dark/depressing for a change. Suggest Industry HBO. Just so fun and ridiculous. 2 seasons.

After rewatching this 2nd season with you i think i see why people don't like it as much as the first season. Even yourself seemed to agree by the end theseason, even though its still great comparatively to other Tv, the end of the season is very different from the majority of the rest of Mindhunter. It ends on a downnote, uncertain case closings, broken families, alone wendy. The "team" as a whole isn't even together ever again past like episode 6. The last 3 episodes have very few interviews with other murderers besides the case they're working on. Anyways, i loved this show and rewatching it with you was a blast. I dont think season 3 will happen unfortunetly. I would suggest Mare of Easttown as someone mentioned in an earlier post. or Andor. (god i love Andor and i think you would too).

So sad these are ending but had a ton of fun rewatching them with you. I feel like if this had been a 3 season series this would have been a cool 2nd season to lead us into the third, but it kinda leaves you with blue balls.

I’m sad it’s over. I’ve commented this before but I hope you consider watching “Mare of Easttown”!

Fellow Patreons: Please check out a Touch of Cloth starring the actor that played Batiatus in Spartacus. It's a police serial comedy that you'll definitely want to recommend to Jimmy if you see it.
