Nero is too good for this world, and Jax is straight up gone. I forgot how ruthless he gets in this season. He's deff smarter than Clay at this point, but I think he's surpassed him in darkness. He's not even doing the whole, "for the good of the club/family" bullshit Clay and Gemma are always peddling. Just fully admits his batshit plan. I think the reason no one stepped up is they know the truth. Jax tolerates people "questioning him" even less than Clay did. What a fall, although the more I think about it Jax was always a hot head. Reminds me of that dude he sucker punches in the store for cutting him off on the road. Guy ended up w an ax in his head. Jax may have not been the killer he is now, but he's been responsible for a lot of death for a v long time. Not surprising given his parents and environment but holy shit man.

The fact she can't see that her giving Jax some poor schmuck to torture and kill to get closure about Tara's murder will only drive him deeper into hate and despair rather than pull him out of it. Like Jax she sadly can't see anything else but what is right in front of them, all clarity and hindsight gone. Jax continues to compound on Gemma's lies but carrying out the first steps on his revenge plot to unravel Henry Lin. Shooting up his guns for drugs deal, killing his men and customers and stealing his guns and heroin. Jax will destroy Lin's business, relationships, family and life to make him feel all of Jax's pain. This is a very dark path as Jury tells him with no room to get away from the things killing the Sons. Jax has no desire to get away from pain and misery it seems. After enlisting Indian Hills and local guy Gib O'Leary and his pal to help rip off Lin, he sets up these two as patsies, killing them and planting drugs and guns on them. But there is already a kink in the plan as it turns out Gib was someone important to Jury and he knows it was Jax who killed him thanks to Chekov's shotgun. More problems abound as August Marks tells Jax to hold off on his revenge, as a street war would hamper his expansion efforts. Also simmering tensions over the Stockton Port put the Mayans and Charlie Barosky at odds, war is seeming more and more a eventuality.

Nero is the show's moral center, still managing to keep himself above the blood and deceit everyone else is mired in. Also he is respected enough to calm tempers or at least bring everyone to the table to hash out their problems. It will be very fascinating to see what happens going forward.
