Oh my god, that speech she gave on TV... and the conversation about getting Jonah in trouble with the law... Wendy is the worst. THE WORST. She's basically Chuck (BCS) for me now... I just groan whenever she comes on screen. edit: MVP? It's Marty. Every episode. That character is a masterclass in zen behaviour. I love it.

People ( in the comment section) will bitch about Wendy doing anything to get her son back but say nothing about Jonah and is stupid ass continuing to Launder money for the craziest character in Ozark. Insane to me.

Heh, that's a good one :) Seriously though, rationalizations via "you just don't understand" or, for the particularly bold, "you're too X to understand" are surely the most common forms of rationalizations there are. Some time ago, in one of his GoT videos, Jimmy talked about people doing mental gymnastics, in the comments, in order to excuse the behaviour of character Y. I didn't really see it myself before... but now that I've spent some time in the comment sections of a bunch of reaction channels... I definitely see it too. Anyhow, Marty should have booked Wendy on the same flight to the concrete as Sugar Dick in season 1 :) Everybody's lives would be immensely better. Literally everyone else. edit: Sugarwood! Dangit.
