Unser she don't love you!! Give it up maaaan. That moment drives me insane every time. Every episode at this point I'm thinking, "where would this club be without Jax" lol

Ashley

“I will pound your hands so hard into that table you won’t be able to hold the gravel.” MVP is Jax. And it’s not close. He’s dealing. Has clarity. Making moves to get it done. LVP is unser. She played that fiddle. There is a reason why that episode is called “Kiss.” Juice’s arc here is heartbreaking. He needs to be renamed Theon. Eli tore him up, when he set him on this path. And it broke him; made him vulnerable to a guy like the RICO dude, to manipulate like some abusive child. Yeah like I said, show gets darker as it goes along. But it’s incredible how Sutter wove in the character endgames, so flawlessly… all the episodes have SO much foreshadowing that I need to start writing them down for you, so you can look back and see well it was done. Ver few shows have succeeded with this.

Ashley

Isn’t that great…. the episode title? So much in that one word

"You don't threaten Clay" YES YOU DO. 👍👍

Ninaofthe90s

I don't find this season that depressing. I'm actually having a lot of fun for a change 😊 I mean...it's serious and dark, but I'm entertained.

Ashley

I don’t find it depressing either. It’s just grittier and yeah, progressively darker. The early days were a bit like life, lol, fun and free when young ha. More levity.

Dr. Foppo

The early days were a bit like life? Since the beginning of the show the sons were a violent organised crime syndicate with ties to a terrorist organisation and Gemma tempted her grandchild's mother to commit suicide in the very first episode. Like what the hell...how on earth is that "fun and free"

Ninaofthe90s

geez...calm down! 😂😩 I don't find this show very dark in the beginning and that's it. The later seasons are depressing as fuck. The earlier seasons were more fun with some dark moments. You don't have to lecture us. I know them and it's not gonna change the overall feeling I had when I wwatched the seasons. Just accept that people don't have to share your opinion.

Dr. Foppo

I was responding to Ashley's response. I completely agree with your initial comment :D Tbf, SoA is my second favourite show anyways but I certainly find Season 4 very entertaining - and "fun" in that sense. I'm with you. And I am completely calm. It's just a bit crazy to consider any part of this story "fun and free", as Ashley put it. The boys were committing violent crimes (and Gemma was an equally vile bitch) since day one :D I'm not lecturing anyone and instead of telling me to calm down maybe you shouldn't be so quick to take offence. Fact (not my opinion) is that this is a show about violent crime. Literally none of it is "a bit like life" or "fun and free". Those are pretty crazy things to say

Ninaofthe90s

oh...then I'm sorry, I kinda misunderstood your comment a little bit 😀 yeah...but there are lots of shows were really dark things were happening. Like the show "Barry" for example. It's really dark but it's also a comedy. Me personally I'm a big fan of dark humor. Not saying that Sons of anarchy is one of those shows - but the earlier seasons did have more lighter moments and funny moments..and Jax was much happier and "fun and free" in comparison to the brutal and depressed person he later became. SoA was never a comedy...but if you compare it to season 7...it kinda is 😂

Dr. Foppo

Yeah I get you. I feel like that's the story telling, though. Jax wasn't as worried and in shit as deep as later on. So he was more assured and free in that sense. Equally, since it wasn't "life or death" 24/7 there were definitely more moments of comedic relief. (I had actually forgotten how many small funny moments there were and Jimmy's reactions have made some of them even funnier to me) Basically, how I see it is: it was always a very violent story about violent criminals but it was told in a lighter way earlier on. I felt like Ashley made those comments regarding the story itself though (which was always gruesome, criminal etc), rather than the story telling. Which is what through me off. I usually don't respond to comments simply to disagree, argue or w/e. Find it kinda pointless. But that one just shocked me a little, lol. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Maybe she did just mean the story telling and not the actual content of the story. Idk. It just read like that to me. I love dark humour, too btw! My favourite movie happens to be a "dark comedy dystopia" lol. Lobster. I really recommend it in case you don't know it.
