In case The Mist (2007) wins, is it possible to request that you watch the B&amp;W version? (identical except for colour grading) It was written/designed for B&amp;W (including the effects) but the studio refused. Not sure what other people's preferences would be...

I’ve heard it’s not a true B&amp;W, so you don’t actually get the intended experience. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the version you’re talking about wasn’t filmed for B&amp;W. Apparently there’s a big difference between filming for B&amp;W and just changing the grading/effects in post

Yes, that's all true. edit: Just to be clear, even though everything you've said is true, the filmmaker has still expressly stated that he prefers the (non-true) B&amp;W version.
