Yeah, good call doing this one solo, and with the subtitles. You also dodged a landmine previously by doing the subtitled version of Kung Fu Hustle (the dubbed version loses SO MUCH of its charm.) Anyhow, the first time I saw this I was just blown away by the creativity of it all. Even now, after all these years, some of the visuals still put me in awe.

okay problem solved. I downloaded the reaction and then watched it with a different player that has better quality. So the subtitles were readable 👍👍

the only Anime that ever won the academy award for best animated movie. I watched in the cinema when I was 11. Scared the shit out of me back then 😂 I also adore the score by Joe Hisaishi. Beautiful. Chihiro is adorable and SO brave. The bravest little girl I can think of. I really hope you watch more of studio Ghibli. Princess Mononoke, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the sky, Grave of the fireflies, Howl's Moving castle etc. All of them are fantastic.

My all time favorite movie man! Absolutely spectacular, really glad it was one of the winners in the poll. It really is another movie like O Brother where it does feel like a whole bunch of short stories with different messages and themes strung together to make a great story. Hope we continue a pattern of one animated movie a month, its nice to see you watch different styles of movie.

Nice to finally see a studio ghibli reaction! Glad you enjoyed the movie and I stand by my statement Jimmy that you will favor Princess Mononoke over this one and would be another treat for all of us to witness again through your eyes! And I’m sort of glad Marcus wasn’t here I could imagine he’d talk throughout the entire movie 😂
