I'm not the biggest fan of the show...actually out of the recent poll it's my least favorite. But what I am a fan of is Shakespeare. Read all of Shakespeare. And since Hamlet is my favorite play I had to watch the show of course. A little bit Macbeth is in there as well. I like some of the similarities and symbolism and a few good characters. But not the biggest fan of the overall plot and while it starts of strong, it lost me in the later seasons. But it's still worth the watch I guess. You might love it 🙂

edit: watched. Loved. MY BABIES so young wanna kiss and hug 'em all. NEVER noticed the crows eating on the road!! Jimmy skipped that part! Nor the details of Jjax's dad's death. This whole ep was one big foreshadow!! Kurt is so damn good. ps I can't imagine thinking it falls off in latter seasons... For me, it is consistent start to finish in theme and narrative. That's what makes it so rare. yaaayyyyy happy to be doing this! I heart them all

Jimmy I knew you would love Gemma(Peg Bundy, real life wife of show creator Kurt Sutter). Yes Kurt Sutter made his bones as a producer/writer/director on The Shield. Chibs(biker with scars on his face) was in Braveheart, and was Arthur Shelby Sr in Peaky Blinders(a lot of other tings too but I know you've seen these), likely where you know him from.

Also wanted to add, the hate for the show on the voters who didnt want it is misplaced. Biggest argument is it drops off in later seasons, I don't really agree, but that just describes 95% of all television and grading on a that curve this drops off less than most, enjoy the ride!

Honestly, my only real complaint about the later seasons are how fucking long each episode was. I didn't realize they were like mini movies and I was too impatient to get through them on my first watch. Perhaps this time I will enjoy them more this time
