Jimmy, this is a fucking sad day. Finally caught up now the wait must commence.

Hey Jimmy have you already set up a poll for the replacement of BCS? Not sure I've seen a tv poll since I became a patron so not sure if I qualify to see it.

I haven't yet. I'll probably take suggestions in the next couple days and then the poll a couple days after that. Haha yes you qualify. All patrons do.

Even if this show is not as "epic" as Breaking Bad, there is something about it that makes it really special. I think it was the characters, more of them are more developed, or we like them more, like Jimmy said, we love more of them, and of course this show gives greater depth to Mike and Saul. And the rest of them are fascinating in their own ways, we are too invested in their fates.

Rewatching this season, it makes me more convinced that Kim has a criminal past of some kind that is even worse than that of Saul's "Slippin Jimmy" days. I agree that her joining Jimmy's antics at first seems like she's being tempted, but it seems more like she's actually relapsing back to her past ways. The writers have deliberately revealed very little from her past and I think its setting up for the final season where we find out she's completely different from the well-mannered lawyer that we've seen for most of this story. Its like Jesse and Jane's relationship in BB Season 2. Jesse's drug addiction ended up bringing back an even worse addiction that Jane's been fighting hard to keep away from, and she ends up going deeper with more potent substances that ends in tragedy. I think this might be the same with Jimmy and Kim, and this time Kim will pay the price for going too far.

I can't believe how much this episode made me feel for Lalo. After what Kim said, he decided to place his trust in Nacho, only to be betrayed right after.

That's an interesting perspective. I can't really tell if I think you're wrong... or I just WANT you to be wrong. Nevertheless... I'm gonna go the opposite direction. I think the flashback suggested that Kim always had to be the responsible/moral one in her close relationships (and life.) I'm guessing she worked her fucking ass off from age whatever-she-was-in-that-flashback to today. But she's achieved all her goals. Not only that, but she did so rather easily in the last few stages. It was remarkable how deftly she dealt with everything that came her way... culminating in her real-time deconstruction of Lalo. I mean, she came up with that shit on the spot. Wow. So whatever "challenges" she had set for herself, around the age when she decided to walk home with her cello instead of riding with mom, she's achieved them. Decades of non-stop work, completed. At this point, she carries all those overcome "challenges" in her back pocket like a bunch of coins. Giving the poor the kind of representation that only millionaires get? Now she can do that herself, rather easily. Nice. Vacation time?! Jimmy/Saul provides multiple avenues of interest for Kim, particularly right this second (i.e., the finger guns - she's having a ball!) 1) A structured and (relatively) safe playground of immorality and irresponsibility. In other words a chance to rebel, hard, that most teenagers get to experience... but Kim never did (unless you count her service-to-the-poor the ultimate rebellion.) 2) A chance to take care of and protect someone irresponsible/amoral whom she has a close relationship with [my guess is her mother died prematurely and she blamed herself, at least partially]. That would explain why she sees what Saul is but refuses to give up. Anyhow, if Saul lets anything happen to Kim, and then he behaves the way he does in BB, I'm done with his character. Done! I dunno how he's gonna fix that one, but when he was getting emotional talking to Mike about Kim's safety... I thought that was a good sign. Unless that was bullshit just to get Mike to tell him about Lalo. Nacho is so fucking dead it's not even funny. Jesus, dude, get your Dad out of there immediately.

I'd say that Lalo is my 2nd favourite character now, after Kim obviously, and yet I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him. Jesus, that guy is cold-blooded. In the courtroom with Saul, when the guy he killed was mentioned and his family was there crying... that shit doesn't even register with him. But damn, he sure is entertaining from the bleachers!
