Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

That was a lot of fun. I'm glad you guys liked it so much. You might also have recognized the big fella (Grimju?) from the Big Lebowski - he was the head nihilist :) I think he's always great in stuff. I have to say that, except for a couple of missteps, I love everything the Coen brothers have done... and yet not a lot of people have seen their earlier stuff!

Michael

I feel like the two of them should watch every Coen Bros. film they haven't seen; they'd both enjoy most of them.

Dean Cyphers

I forgot how fast this movie flows. So dark and comical

2021-07-11 00:24:33 you should really remeber the name "Roger Deakins" by now. I've mentioned him a couple of times, because he's probaby the greatest cinematographer in the business (next to Emmanuel Lubezki). One of the biggest geniuses ever, and you still don't recognize his name 🤣 So far you have seen his work on Fargo, The Big Lebowski and of course 1917 and Prisoners. He frequently works with the Coen Brothers so he has also done No Country for old men, Barton Fink and True Grit for example. And these days he works a lot with my favorite director Denis Villeneuve, which includes Prisoners, Blade Runner 2049 (incredible work!), Sicario. And then of course Sam Mendes which includes 1917, Skyfall, Revolutionary Road and Jarhead. My favorite work of his is probably "The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford", (next to Blade Runner) which I believe you have also seen. These movies are great but I think his work is partly the reason why these movies blow my mind. Especially Jesse James or 1917. What would these movies be without Deakins? You should really remember his name, like you do with directors or actors. Because he's one of the greatest geniuses the movie business has to offer 😍😀 during his work he has received 15 (!!) oscar nominations and has won two (both in the last 5 years fro Blade Runner and 1917). other movies of his are "The shawshank redemption", The reader, The Village, Sid & nancy, Dead Man Walking, A beautiful mind, Doubt. The cinematogrpahy always sticks out for me the most. Because it's a work of art. Right now he's filming the next movie with Sam Mendes (Empire of light) and I can't wait to see it.
