I love how this show trusts its audience to be patient. The tense opener where very little actually happens. The whole Mike sequence. The long, quiet moments like Jimmy looking through the classifieds or drinking on the couch with Kim. The same sorts of scenes in a lesser show would be accused of padding or wasting time, but here it basks in it, savors it. I'm with you, I could watch this shit all day and not get tired of it.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Yep, I would 100% watch the show "Mike Ehrmantraut: Security Consultant". Also yep, that was fucking gross watching Jimmy say that to Howard. Is it possible that he's becoming my least favourite character on his own show?!

It was awful for Jimmy to leave Howard in that pain knowing he had a hand in it but two points in Jimmy's favour -- 1) Grief works differently for everyone. Some people laugh, some cry, some don't address it. I think its difficult to judge someone based on that period of their life. I think earlier in the episode showed he was deeply effected by Chucks death, he wasn't indifferent. 2) Chucks final words to Jimmy were that he never mattered that much to him. Speaking from someone who has cut out toxic family members from my life, I kind of get it. At a certain point you have to stop hurting yourself for someone who has tried to hurt you as deeply as they can. Seeing someone suffering like Howard was, though, and allowing him to believe his own guilt is undeniably awful. I just don't know that it's indicative of Jimmy as a whole.

I think Howard expressing his guilt there was to Jimmy an opportunity to unload his own - the part of it that he is consciously aware of at least. Something another reactor said was that perhaps Jimmy decided to take some of Chuck's final words to heart and follow through with them. "You're saying you have regrets, I'm saying why bother? You're just going to keep hurting people, so just accept it"
