Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Okay, Cash somewhat derisively referring to the "talking scenes" of the film, at the end, might just be the funniest bit of the video. I must say that since he stopped falling asleep during the movies, he does seem rather easily distracted. Kinda reminds me of my little niece the last time my family all went out to a big dinner. She was restless and bored, complained that everybody was "just talking", and kept interrupting the flow of the table's conversation. It became a bit much, so we gave her some colouring books... no more interruptions. Now, I am absolutely not saying that Cash is a little girl, obviously. I suppose I might just be saying that it could potentially benefit the channel to keep some colouring books handy during movie time. Phew, threaded that needle just right, I think! ;) Anyhow, this is definitely my favourite Clint Eastwood movie. It's easily the best script - I think his character here, William Munny, has more depth than the rest of his characters combined. Then, on top of that, you throw in Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman?! Fuck yeah, buddy!

I think that is my favorite western for how unglamorous it is. It feels more realistic than most others to me.

Marcus nailed the analysis. I had to study this film in film class. Ned, while being tortured, characterized Munny in a light that should scare them. That legend made him terrifying and larger than any one man. The writer was symbolically giving us that picture of how story travels and legend is made. Who was he really? That’s the idea; that it really doesn’t matter. The heart of the story is the mythos and the romance of that. —- It’s a classic. A bit tedious at times, but the final act is tremendous.

Richard Harris was such a great actor. The best Dumbledore and 'A Man Called Horse' was a good movie.
