Haven't finished watching yet, just wanted to make a couple quick casting notes: the blonde kid who gets his arm cut off is the same actor who later on plays young Octavian in HBO's Rome for 1 and a half seasons, and the "pilot" of the ship is Pippin the hobbit in LotR!

And also this is an adaptation of two books mashed together from a 20+ book series, and I'm sure you can guess who the two main characters are. It's full of little references for fans of the book to the larger story, and the series is known for being super realistic and well researched. It's some gritty true Napoleonic War stuff, which gives it weight IMO.

I adore this movie. Glad you took it as your dealer's choice and glad you dug it. I'm not surprised it doesn't factor into your top 10 or anything, but nor am I surprised you loved Aubrey. After getting a feel for your character tastes I just knew: Jimmy's gotta meet Lucky Jack.

Yes Cash you can watch Black Sails on Hulu. They have all the seasons. It's one of the best shows I've seen.
