It was great to revisit this movie with you guys. It is one of those rare movies that stay with you forever(at least for me) and not really in a good way. So unsettling and insidious - but in a unique and powerful way.

I really love these movie reactions. I had not seen Prisoners or There Will Be Blood before and watched them just for these reactions. I'm blown away how good both movies are. cant wait to find more gems through the requests for the upcoming coming months!

You both have experienced There Will Be Blood, Paul Thomas Anderson's epic oil boom masterpiece. Featuring one of the best performances in cinematic history, Daniel Day Lewis as Daniel Plainview, one of the most compelling and reprehensible characters in all film.

This got him his 3rd Best Actor Oscar, and the film won best Cinematography in 2007. Not only that DDL won a Golden Globe, BAFTA, Screen Actor Guild, NYCC & IFTA best actor awards for TTWB. Everything in the film was top notch, the directing, acting, cinematography, screenwriting, SFX and the awesome film score from Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood won the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Jimmy's love for this film can not be overstated, as almost everyone fan and film critic alike have said this one of the best films every made. It constantly is in the top 20, 10 of the best films of all time lists. Rolling Stone, New Yorker, Guardian etc. all have said that There Will Be Blood is the best film of the last decade, bar none.

The film drank everyone's milkshake, drank it up completely. Paul Dano is a revelation in the film, Eli Sunday is one of the slimiest villains in all of cinema. Though Dano wasn't the first choice to act opposite Day Lewis. The first actor, Kel O'Neill to play Eli ultimately had to drop out of the role, Some say because he was intimidated by DDL's intense method acting on and off the set.

Okay, I gotta admit that I was wrong about this one the first time I saw it. My memory of it was that it was just trumped up award porn with a great milkshake scene. Yeah, it was a lot more than that. I don't think I'll ever watch it again, but it was definitely captivating all the way through.
