Sedullus death was crazy. Of all the things I might have expected, that was not it and it is as fantastic as when I first saw it. Nice twist at the end too with Gannicus and I like the horror queues as they briefly show his slaughter of Glabur's men and when he opens the cart. Good development for Agron to attack his own men for assaulting Naevia. If we were questioning his loyalty at any point, that firmly clues us in on them.

I'm glad you called yourself out on Lucrecia. How dare you doubt her. You've seen the prequel, shes a demon.

Yeah this one is giving issues I am only able to get it to play for 2-3 minutes at a time, I’ll try again later.

We reach episode seven, Sacramentum Jimmy, another pivotal episode in Vengeance. Spartacus, Agron & Lucius carry out their mission in Neapolis to free a slave ship. This one filled with savages east of the Rhine, women just as unpleasant as their men. Agron tells his fellow kin that they come to free them in their tongue.

Anonymous

Only to discover one of the guards also speaks it, leading the rebels to act quickly and dispatch the slaver and his guards with the help of their newly freed friends. Agron frees his people, though Spartacus questions that they just happened to free a ship full of Germans, after Agron's scouting of the ports. Agron replies it must be the gods' favour though Spartacus remains skeptical.

Back at the Temple, Crixus & Naevia spar as he makes good on his promise to train her in the ways of a Gladiator. Their spirits also raised as Oenomaus emerges healed from his wounds, the beloved Doctore once again to give instruction to the fledgling army. Spartacus is also relieved to see Oenomaus yet living, though the mood sours when Agron and the Germans arrive, boisterous and cocky. Crixus does not like that so many of Agron's kin now swell their ranks as their loyalties are not yet known and will they follow him or one closer to heart.

Anonymous

Spartacus confronts Agron about his plans to get him to liberate a ship from Germania and only Germania. Agron tells him that there were two other ships, one from Damascus but filled with untrustworthy Syrians and one from Gallia, no way would he see more Gauls to their cause.

Anonymous

Agron tells Spartacus that his people will prove their worth and Spartacus tells him that tomorrow's hunting party will gauge the sincerity of their cause. Showing that this army of gladiators and house slaves are being kept together mostly by Spartacus' will and charisma not mention Crixus & Agron's influence over their peoples.

Anonymous

Without finding a way to unite them, this unruly collection of Gauls, Germans, Thracians, Numidians, Greeks etc. would surely splinter and be easy prey for the Romans. The fact that Germans leave absent Spartacus to go hunting and attack a wagon loaded with weapons and wine only deepen suspicions that they can't be trusted.

Anonymous

Spartacus & Crixus both are displeased at this apparent lack of discipline but Agron points to their effectiveness at hunting game and securing badly needed weapons. Crixus though sees this as the reckless actions of a child, one who reminds him that without him he would perished in the arena. Crixus sees their new recruits as nothing more than feral dogs, Agron doesn't help the tension by declaring they will never follow Crixus before returning to the temple with his fellow german, the giant Sedullus remarking that they will help lift the spirits of these sour fucks.

Anonymous

The tension between the germans & the rebels finally boils over as Crixus & Naevia discuss the quality of their new comrades. Naevia is more hopeful of lasting bond, though this leads to her being cornered by Sedullus who says Crixus' has no love for him while offering her wine. She says they just need to get to know each other, unfortunately Sedullus seeks a more intimate bond with Naevia.

Anonymous

He attempts to rape her, leading her to stab him and driving him into a rage. Agron attempts to stop him only for Sedullus to rag doll him around to Crixus' amusement. This ends when he sees Naevia and goes to kill the man who dared to assault his woman. Which sparks off a brawl with everyone, germans & non germans scrapping .

Anonymous

This conflict is brought to swift conclusion as Spartacus engages Sedullus in combat and delivers one of the best deaths in all the series. Slicing the giant german's face clean off, his brains slowly hitting the sand, his body following. He then lays down the law and tells them if they can't follow his orders then leave or share Sedullus' fate. The lovable brute Lugo takes up arms and celebrates Spartacus' victory leading him and the other germans to cement their respect and loyalty to Spartacus.

Meanwhile in Capua, things just keep getting more grim as Glaber, full embracing his villainous nature tells the people that Seppius was murdered by his own slaves, seeking to join with Spartacus. Who gave them that idea, his wife's body slave. Illithyia has no choice to agree to this farce and her poor slave Thessela is brutally crucified by Ashur's men.

Anonymous

This grisly act disgusts both Lucretia & Gannicus, having returned to Capua unsuccessfully trying to claim his payment for his services in the arena. Glaber makes it clear that any slave caught whispering of rebellion gets the cross treatment. Though Illithyia is just as fearful as she despairs at her woeful fate, trapped in a loveless marriage with a vengeful psycho for husband, having to give his birth to his child or be sent to the afterlife.

Anonymous

Lucretia also is living a nightmare as she is forced to lie with Ashur and call him Dominus. The indignities only rise as he presents her with a gift from his blood stained plunder, a red wig that Batiatus was fond of her wearing. He would have hernwear it as a reminder of who she now belongs too.

Anonymous

Lucretia suitably horrified at Ashur's twisted fantasy of being her master and husband seeks to help her and Illithyia escape this hell. She concocts the plans to spirit Illithyia to rome by spilling her blood and smearing Illithyia with it as grim omen that Glaber's child will die if it remains in Capua. Not wanting to tempt fate, Glaber decides to send his wife to Rome with a clutch of his men.

Anonymous

Lucretia also attempts to slip away, but Ashur manoeuvres to keep Lucretia here by telling Glaber that the Oracle of Capua couldn't possibly leave, lest the city fall to despair. Glaber agrees and Lucretia once again is left with empty hands. Illithyia also is tormented by Glaber's shameless flirting with Seppia, forced to smile and nod at her younger rival moved into the villa, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Anonymous

Gannicus doesn't escape Glaber's attention as he shares drink and words with the kindly prostitute Marcia, who whispers of Spartacus' rebellion. Gannicus tells her to forget such dangerous ideas and instead leave with him. Unfortunately this not to be as Ashur approaches Gannicus not subtly flexing his status as Glaber's will, flanked by Tattoo Guy & The Egyptian. Gannicus though is unimpressed at Ashur and his goons but is forced to accompany him as Ashur says that a slave's errant tongue could get him in trouble.

Anonymous

Gannicus knows that he is absent his Rudis and has no choice to but stand before Glaber and be interrogated about his miraculous survival. Glaber tells Gannicus that his Rudis was discovered and he would return it. Though nothing is free, as Glaber would have Gannicus lead his army against Spartacus, the former champion of Capua bringing the rebels to justice. Gannicus has no desire to be Glaber's figurehead and is allowed to leave, he is a freedman after all. Though Glaber says that when he summons him again, he expects him to make the right choice, also wink wink, nudge nudge.

Anonymous

Lucretia also seeks Gannicus' help as she spies him in the street, mourning the loss of poor Marcia, another victim of Glaber's witchhunt. She tells him that she would have both of them free of Glaber's wroth as the Praetor has no intention of letting Gannicus go. She appeals to Gannicus to kill Glaber before more innocent lives are lost. While Illithyia leaves for Rome that night with half of his men, Glaber will be vulnerable for him to slip in unnoticed and silence him forever. Gannicus though knows Lucretia is not to be trusted, but the act is tempting.

Anonymous

Lucretia confides in Illithyia before departing that she has set plans in motion to eliminate Glaber while he sleeps. Gannicus will cop the blame and will be killed by Glaber's remaining soldiers, leaving no loose threads. Illithyia kisses Glaber and tells him he will be missed as she leaves, a big wink wink, nudge nudge.

Anonymous

Which leads to the twist, as Glaber lays in bed he is visited by none other than? Seppia who reciprocates Glaber's kindness with sexy time. Though this is ended abruptly as Salvius tells Glaber he needs to see something. Illithyia's wagon was set upon outside of Capua, her guard slaughtered as he looks inside to find his wife gone and Gannicus' answer to his proposal. His Rudis buried in the neck of Tattoo guy, Gannicus having outmanoeuvred everyone.

Anonymous

The episode also introduces the german crew to the show, the loud and boastful Lugo, little Nemetes and of course the lively she wolf, Saxa. We also get Glaber swelling his ranks with Seppius' men, their leader, Octavius Tarsus reciting the Sacramentum to their new master.

The episodes only continue to get more juicy, you definitely enjoy what's to come. Thanks Jimmy and take care my friend, peace.
