Naoki Urasawa's Monster is a great detective anime made by the same studio that did Death Note. The story is finished, not ongoing. If you're looking for a short series, you can watch the Promised Neverland(12 episodes - ongoing)

The Original Ghost in the Shell Series. The Dub is A+ in my opinion and is more adult oriented. Very “would you put your brain in a robot body” government conspiracies, cybercrime political espionage type stuff.

I know they're not as good as the original series, but what about the 2012/2013 Berserk Trilogy that retells the Golden Age Arc and actually includes what happened at the end of the eclipse and then the 2016-2017 show that continues the story beyond the eclipse?

If you enjoyed the hand painted art of Berserk, and enjoyed the setting, you might try Record of Lodoss War, if you haven't seen it. Great classic 90's anime series with that western fantasy take.

I just binged Fate/Zero which was phenomenal. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is def a winner. For something completely different from the others, maybe The Ancient Magus' Bride. IDK if it's your style but I really had a great time with that one. Slower and more contemplative.
