A dangerous game indeed. I totally see your perspective on Michael Pitt's acting. I personally enjoy it, but I think it took a few rewatches to appreciate for me.

I LOVE out there, over the top, weird acting choices, so I adore what Michael Pitt was doing on this show. I could watch and listen to Mason Verger forever.

You make a valid point about Will seeing Alana and Hannibal together being much worse than knowing about it. I figured you probably knew, you're super perceptive like that, just making sure you caught it because I appreciate how intuitive Will is in that one moment to instantly recognize what's been happening. Your post episode thoughts and questions are part of why I love this show so bloody much, especially for first time viewers. It's so much fun (for me) watching the gears turning away as people work things out. Next week is going to be fun. Thanks!

Fuck Alana. Edit...I know she finally got to the point she needed to get to. but still Fuck Alana. She was ready to believe Will killed Freddie but still wasn't having it about Hannibal, until too much doubt entered her mind.

Unlike Jimmy, Alana has never clung to any hope that Will wasn’t a murderer. She threw him under the bus immediately he was accused of being the Chesapeake ripper, because it fitted her theory that Jack was pushing him too hard. She makes mental images of people and reality has to fit those images. It’s why she has no problem accepting Chilton as the ripper, but could never see Hannibal as him.
