Hannibal REACTION - 1x11.mov

Constantine

Mads Mikkelsen said that he didn't want Antony Hopkins' performance to inform this one. He said that the way he plays him, Hannibal believes he is Satan. I dont really like horror, but I liked this one. One because the character is so iconic, and two because its not relying on jump scares so much. This is more of a "darken your soul" type of horror. Also Jimmy. The 15$ tier is locked out of Person of interest reactions for some reason dude. It says "join the $5 tier to unlock"

He does a great fucking Satan. I'll say that much. Re: PoI.... Should be fixed in a second

It's really good you haven't seen Red Dragon. You won't be spoiled then when watching the show.

Mads is one of my favourite actors...I love how he does so much with so little. I love him in the many danish movies he made, like "The Hunt" (one of the best performances ever!) and outside of Denmark big roles like Le Chiffre in "Casino Royale". He's so amazing 😍😍

After rewatching this episode it is completely astounding to me that this was originally on NBC!

Easily one of my favorite episodes from this season. Watching Will's descent into darkness and madness as directed/orchestrated by Hannibal is amazing. I completely understand your love of Jack, btw. I love him too. Far more than I like him in any of the movies. I love this show for how it positions Jack and Hannibal as opposite, immense dual forces in Will's life. Each of them pushing and pulling him in the direction they think is best for him and for themselves or the world. It's a very biblical "angel and devil on your shoulder" style plot. Based on his conversations with his therapist, Hannibal wants to tempt and corrupt Will into darkness so that he can become worthy of being Hannibal's friend. On the other side, Jack wants to forge Will into a sword for justice and retribution against killers/villains. While their personal ideals are very different, both Jack and Hannibal are similar in other ways. Both are manipulative and willing to use Will yet they also seem to desire a connection with him. I like to think of this season so far as a chess game between Hannibal and Jack where Will is the most valuable piece on the board. It's all incredibly tragic for Will and sometimes super hard for me to watch as a viewer but it also makes for seriously entertaining television.
