This show was underrated AF. The line about different AIs being like the Greek gods battling through their human worshipers was freaking amazing. I also like that the dynamic of power has changed now. The machine and the crew were the strongest entity up till now. Now the machine is like David and Samaritan like Goliath and the crew has to run around hiding from the all seeing eye. Anyway, I think you will like next season too.

I really had to chuckle after your reaction to the last episode where you where celebrating Collier for being on top of the game it really didn't age well, lol.

A part of me kind of wished this was a stealth Terminator sequel. haha We never knew John's last name so it could be Connor. And of course Samaritan was Skynet :p Just a fun note I thought of. haha

There are so many amazing things about this episode, but I want to highlight how they telegraphed the ending to us without us knowing. Root tells Shaw that the Machine is worried about Harold, and doesn't know where he is. BUT if Collier is right and they were broadcasting all around the world, she would know. God damn this is such an amazingly smart show.

Seeing them walk away like that in the end, having completely failed ... What an ending! I feel like they don't do that sort of ending nearly often enough.

Fusco's cameo was perfect. Everyone on this show does excellent work. The violence versus morality going on inside Collier and Vigilance was amazing. Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons always seems tragic to me.

Out of all those characters - you forgot to mention Carter and Fusco. 😂 And of course Agent Donnelly, Simmons, Kara Stanton, The Special Counsil, Mark Snow, Nathan. Rest in peace to all of them. And of course Elias, Scarface, Alonzo Quinn, Grace and many more. Everybody is amazing.

Similarly, when Fusco was clueless about the trial "What Trial?!". Sure, he said he was busy with the looting but if there was a live streamed trial and execution of a white house advisor in your city you can be damned sure that every police office would know what is happening. It's an amazing twist and seeing it play out again and catching all the little nods and details to it just makes it better.

I agree that this season is one of my favorite seasons of tv I have ever seen. Considering this is a 23 ep season and not a 10 or 13 ep season like most shows, speaks volumes. To me this is Jonathan Nolan’s finest work. Way way better than westworld. One of the smartest shows I’ve seen also. This is one underrated show.

This finale!!! One of my favorite season finales of any show. Thrilling, shocking, heartbreaking and bold in equal measure. Lights out Samaritan? Nope, Samaritan IS the endgame for Person of Interest.

Agree on every single line. Season 3 has a few duds, but I can think of at least 15 episodes I would rate 8 or above. Heck, most of them 9 or above. That is ridiculous for a season with a 23-episode order, without the cable budget and with network limitations. Always felt POI to be superior to the more morbid and slightly pretentious maze that is Westworld. And season 2 of WW was a total killjoy.
