2x5 marks the end of the events of Book one, one of the reasons it feels like a season finale. The seasons don't fall evenly along the lines of the books, so you can get out of left field episodes like this that catch you off guard. Its not like Game of Thrones, where you know that there is going to be a big battle second last episode and a big cliffhanger twist in the last episode of the season etc. It was a leap of faith, but he did have the nuke as a back up plan. He abandonned the nuke once he got talking to Julie and had faith that he could get Julie to change course at that stage.

This was already said in the comments of last episode but this feels like the first time you are genuinely into the show on your own and not watching out of obligation. That gets me really excited because the show only gets better from here. This was the end to the first book and my favorite arcs come in the next couple, I cannot wait. Thanks for the reactions Jimmy.

Don't know if you noticed, but one of my favorite little details is when they are all toasting at the end, Amos just does a quick little toast to the air in front of him as if to Miller. It's just a cool little subtle thing that I didn't notice on my fist viewing. Amos is my eternal boy.

So happy to see you becoming invested and really enjoying the series! As everyone else has stated, it just gets better and better. The guy (Hawk Ostby) who developed the series, after finishing the first book he was inspired to get this on screen because of the ending and that scene of Miller and Julie in the throne room. That's the scene that started it all and made him want to adapt this. This series is filled with scenes like that. Fun fact: This aired on Thomas Janes Bday. He doesn't do social media but he got on twitter that night and live tweeted the whole ep with us. The writers room, cast and crew would all live tweet with us for every ep, S1-S3. You don't see that much, This whole production, all down the line is really special. They all love and truly believe in this series/story and it shines through in every ep. The Expanse is an epic tale and I can't wait for you to see it all unfold. Thanks Jimmy.

These last 2 eps felt like a season finale because this was the end of the first book.
