That narration shift in these last couple of episodes feel so much better because the build up to this encounter was handled so well. We're invested in both sides, just good writing all around.

A lot of people dislike the narrator around these episodes but without him you’d literally have no idea what’s going on, just a bunch of characters moving all at the same time chaotically

The carpet bombing seems reckless but they couldn't have ever accounted for komugi. Dragon dive was just meant to be a distraction, and at best pick off a couple roaming squadron leaders
