Your observations about Gon are pretty accurate. One of the great things about this character is that as we've come to know him in these past 70 episodes, there is a lot to like about him. He's mostly very upbeat, determined, and he's just generally "likeable". Even his simple-mindedness and stubborn nature has been somewhat endearing. But they are character faults. Everyone has them, and despite being the strong-willed protagonist Gon is no different. Sometimes his vices are cute and funny... but not always. He does have a capacity to be selfish, and being stubborn only amplifies that. I love the way his character is written. Now that we've spent enough time with him, his vices are a little more apparent, and I think that only continues the more you get to know the character. Just like getting to know someone in real life, the better you get to know a friend the more you may love them, but you also become more aware of their negative traits.

I don’t care what anyone says, Gon is a huge jerk , he’s selfish, I hate how he treats Killua when he’s mad and Killua Is a far greater friend that Gon could ever be smh. Just watch you’ll see
