Naruto is still #1 for me for the same reason DBZ is for you, but FMAB is a close #2. So many compelling characters that I never got tired of and the writing is unmatched. Now that your done you should watch the bloopers, its quality.

Lalisa Truong

Mustang still doing what he can despite being blind! Love it! Scar has come so far by the end. Such a well-written character, and boy are there a lot of well-written characters in this show. I love how despite losing his alchemy, Ed is still moving forward and doing whatever he can to gain more knowledge and to better himself. Same with Al...man when he brought up Nina...It's good that she's still remembered. Also, Ed looking a lot more like Hohenheim brings a tear to my eye! The braid-less ponytail, the coat, the suitcase, gah! Ed may have never said out loud how much he cared for his father, but his actions certainly shows it. "A heart made fullmetal" Honestly, a very satisfying end to the entire journey &lt;3

Suggestion Two underated but fantastic anime : - Baccano! (13 episodes) - Eden of the East (11 episodes + 2 movies)

Antiquity

You seem to know alot about the series and you leave good comments. You should check out show&amp;tell reactions to fmab she is about halfway done with the series. <a href="https://www.patreon.com/show7tell/posts">https://www.patreon.com/show7tell/posts</a>

FMAB was an incredible anime and I'm really glad you enjoyed it as well. Both Bebop and HxH are great, can't go wrong with either. Bebop is more of an episodic (self-contained episodes) show, if you're okay with that. The dub is also fantastic. HxH is my favorite anime of all-time and I really think it's worth it if you do 3 a week, which you said you wouldn't do. Because it's 148 episodes, unless you're okay with doing that weekly. HxH is more slower paced and tends to do epic, super long arcs (I like to think of FMAB of just one long story arc), so it's kinda of like FMAB in a way, and in the same genre, more or less. I know you love power rankings/scales and HxH just so happens to have the greatest power system in all of anime. Maybe I'm biased because HxH is my favorite (Bebop is still great), but I do think HxH is a show you would like more than Bebop. Other great anime that I think you might enjoy are: Fate/Zero, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and Psycho-Pass.

I still remember when you started this series and mentioned you will watch 10 eps and will decide to drop or keep it.

DougRaw

I feel like you forgot Teacher on those rankings :( I mean maybe she's behind Winry and Armstrong #2 but she's so damn strong and came in clutch for our main characters that I'm leaning towards you just forgot her entirely, which I can't blame you, cast is insanely long someone was bound to be left behind. Also both animes you mentioned maybe doing are great so I'd be good with either one.

Even if it isn't my favorite, I think FMA:B is probably the best anime out there, overall. It is so much fun, so well done, and fantastic all around. As for anime suggestions, Cowboy Bebop is great, but one I don't see enough reactors doing is Gurren Lagann, a show about giant robots that run on awesomeness. Its just 25ish episodes of fun goofiness and badass fights.

Suggestion for another anime: Code Geass

NEMESIS

Idk if you like boxing, but if you do, Hajime no Ippo is the most legendary boxing anime of all time. It is absolutely fantastic. The boxing matches are so intense and over the top. I think you would love this show. Also, you can never go wrong with Steins Gate

Anime suggestion: Saga of Tanya the Evil. Think world war one but with magic. I think youll get a kick out of how savage the main character can be. If you test it out, just be sure to watch the first two episodes together. The first is an introduction, but the second explains the whole backstory on what is going on. Kind of like what fullmetal did.

This is Fine

I find beautifully poetic that all the seven deadly sins died the opposite of what they represented. 1) Evny who looked down on humans secretly was jealous of our resolve. 2) Greed sacrifices himself to save his friends. 3) Gluttony was eaten alive. 4) Lust is beaten by and praise a man. 5) Pride commits a shameful act by trying to save his life. 6) Sloth overexert himself in trying to defeat the Armstrong's . 7) Wrath dies contended with a smile on his face.

My suggestion is Fate/Zero. I feel like it, along with Death Note and Code Geass, are the 3 "smartest" anime out there, so you'll definitely enjoy that aspect. It's also pretty dark, and has a ton of likable characters.

Hazel Chu

Fate zero if you want a grim modern fantasy with some great villain development, It's a cult classic among "old" anime heads. Do recommend the sub. Other than that cowboy bebop is a jam, too.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is just a complete series from beginning to end. Most animes have a good premise but they don't know how to finish it. You'll likely never get a better ending to an anime than this as well.

My suggestion for the next series is Mob Psycho 100. It's made by the same studio that made My Hero and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and the original creator also made One Punch Man.

Anonymous

I did not know that, thank you.

Cowboy Bebop is my all time favorite but I think that Hunter x Hunter would be more your speed, it takes a little time to fully get into but soon enough you will understand why it is not only considered one of the best battle shonens but one of the best anime period. Yu Yu Hakusho would probably be to your liking as well, a 90's classic often discussed alongside DBZ as one of the first shows that really helped make anime more mainstream in the west. Both HxH and and YYH are written by the same author as well. As a lover of well written villains I think you'd really enjoy both series.

Sarah Bruce

I'm a little sad this is over, but it was an amazing journey. If you decide to watch another anime, as someone who also adores both FMAB and DBZ, I really think you'd love Hunter x Hunter. That and Yu Yu Hakusho by the same creator are two of my all time favorites.

Antiquity

Gurren lagann is the underground King of anime

James Owens

Here we are, I'm sad it's over but what a hell of a ride, one of the best. If you want a bit more Fullmetal, there is a movie called Sacred Star of Milos. Not strictly related to the main series really (like the DBZ movies) and it certainly doesn't hold a candle to the main series, but it's entertaining nonetheless. Animation style is a bit different. I suggest you check it out in your own time.

A truly great Shounen up there with hunterxhunter.

Anonymous

A lot of people consider FMAB to be one of the best anime of all time. Most others would call Cowboy Bebop the best, and they would be right. So there's my vote.

"most others" not trying to be rude or anything but to put it bluntly...no lol.

Light Yagami

Hunter x hunter man, greatest anime of all time (besides maybe death note)
