Wow Jimmy posted this during the mid season finale of the walking dead. 😂 nice timing

outdoorcats

Slower episode but I love this one. Two more episodes until the finale!

Daniel Gray

This is the 99th episode of LOST. There are only 22 more episodes to go and it's all over.

Seaaon finale is coming up soon. I sure hope you post both parts of the season finale when it comes time to post it.

Bloodchronism

Jimmy any idea when you'll be starting attack on titan?

Bloodchronism

That's great news man. I can't wait. Hope you do a top 10 characters list at the end of those reactions too but if not no big deal, I'm sure they'll be great videos regardless.

Jack's World

Great reaction as always! Just curious, will you be putting out TWD today, or tomorrow?

Dean Cyphers

Jimmy! next weekend will be reactions for episode 14, 15 and 16 but episode 16 is the first part of the season finale along with 17 pleaseeee don't make us wait an entire week to get the 2nd half pleaseeeee

athena77

As dean said, 4 episodes are needed this week. Early xmas gift for your patreons??

Anonymous

Yeah jimmy, I know it must be a lot of work to get these reactions out on time but would really appreciate it if you didn’t separate the finale into two weeks

outdoorcats

Yeah I don't care when the episodes go up (4 episodes in a week? calm down people) but I do suggest when you're watching it to watch the finale all at once, since it's not actually meant to be split into 2 episodes (on TV, it played as one episode)

Dean Cyphers

Everyone is calm. He'll watch the finale as one like usual, it would just be fun to watch his reaction to the finale as one also. It IS the holidays though so he might be busy anyway

Locke provides Ben with this book to pass the time. Later on the the two discuss how Hemingway was jealous of Dostoevsky. Ben tears a page of the book out and draws the map to his balloon on the back of it for Ana-Lucia. Jack asks Ben how he's enjoying the book, and Ben reads the passage from the book: "Men reject their prophets and slay them, but they love their martyrs and honor those whom they have slain" and asks what the difference between a prophet and a martyr is, to which Jack replies that it seems like either way you end up dead.

I’m calm just made a request, totally respect whatever he chooses to do and I am so thankful for his reactions.

Daniel Gray

Honestly, ive always tried to understand this, but I just don't. Can you help clarify?

David Caine

That whole thing struck me upon a rewatch. There are many things like that throughout.

The word “prophet” is a very bad translation of an obscure Hebrew word, navi. Nobody knows what it means. But today they’d be called dissident intellectuals. They were giving geopolitical analysis, arguing that the acts of the rulers were going to destroy society. And they condemned the acts of evil kings. They called for justice and mercy to orphans and widows and so on and the end of abuse of prayer for actions. And they were treated the way dissident intellectuals always are. They weren’t praised. They weren’t honored. They were imprisoned like Jeremiah. They were driven into the desert. They were hated, killed. Now at the time, there were “prophets,” who were very well treated. They were the flatterers of the court. Centuries later, they were called “false prophets.” People who criticize the status quo in a community are regarded the way Ahab treated Elijah: You’re a traitor. You’ve got to serve power. You can’t argue that the policies that a nation is following are going to lead to its destruction. In fact, my favorite prophet, then and still, is Amos. I particularly admired his comments that he’s not an intellectual. I forget the Hebrew, but lo navi ela anochi lo ben navi — I’m not a prophet, I’m not the son of a prophet, I’m a simple shepherd. So he translated “prophet” correctly. He’s saying, “I’m not an intellectual.” He was a simple farmer and he wanted just to tell the truth. I admire that. --- Mostly Noam Chomsky
