Hey everyone,

as a preparation for the announced ork release, I started with the very basic scrap metal generator - simply create metal plates with rivets that look distorted, just like orks would use them. Use them to give a tank some more orkish feeling, or reinforce buildings, armour, ... Simply update the generator suite and you'll have access. Youtube introduction is available: https://youtu.be/TLeVTkocFn4 and I also created a basic library of some examples for you to directly use: https://cults3d.com/en/creations/scrap-metal-parts

The next step now is to finish my library of ork terrain, and this scrap metal generator is the most important thing for that, being the basis of the whole ork terrain. I will now, during next week continue with that and next Friday, you can expect an ork scrap metal library for the terrain generator.

With that, I will finally close the terrain generator (for now) and then move to space orks! I already gathered several files, adapted some of them and will continue with that so you can finally have space orks in the customizer! The release of this is then planned for 2nd of September.

Since the "getting started" army from last Friday received quite a good feedback, I will also try to continue this path in parallel, this means that I'm already preparing a set for next Friday, and with the ork release, another set (of Orks, of course) will follow. Probably, I will do this anti-cyclic, with having the main release at the beginning of the month and a play-ready army around the 15th. If you have any suggestions for 750 pts armies for grimdark future, let me know and I'm happy to create them with the customizer and then release a whole set.

And after the orks? Well - it's up to you to decide, so let me know what you would like to see next.

Udo
