What’s your personal favorite Metal Gear game, and why?
Snake Eater by a country mile. I really like MGS2's meta-nature, and MGS5's gameplay is fantastic, but MGS3 is easily the best combination of Story and Gameplay.
SuperBunnyhop and MatthewMatosis go into more detail than I ever could, but the level-design, cutscenes, variety, locations, pacing, etc, is all on point, and likely because Kojima's ego was humbled after the poor reaction to MGS2.
Every other game in the series has some sort of catch, be it an awful story (MGS5), bad boss fights (Peace Walker), or tedious objectives (MGS1), but MGS3's the game I could recommend to anybody that's into video-games, even as just a one off and not playing any other installment.

Is this the year where we get a duke nukem video?
Nah.
Especially not while there's multiple restoration projects going on.

In the old days of bad company 2 did you also used to spam the usas-12?
Little bit, sometimes when you can't beat-em, you have to join-em. However, the real bitch of Bad Company 2 was that goddamn Mortor pre-patch... I still remember seeing Civil War style firing lines of snipers in their suits holding goggles from two miles away, knowing just how fucked we were.

These days, it appears that game genre definitions are getting more and more muddled and broad. How would you personally redefine genres to be more "accurate" to their title holders?... or are such labels just a waste of time at the end of the day?
We're getting sub-genres just like music now, and just like music, it can seem pretty silly at times, especially when people start staking their entire reputation on whether or not a game fits within a certain genre. I see this all the time in racing games, about whether something is arcade or sim, and it can lead to people not seeing the forest for the trees.
However, also just like music, these sub-genres ultimately exist because they do more accurately summarize a particular style of game someone might be looking for.
Halo does fit the Arena shooter template of small maps, weapon pick ups, power-ups, starter weapons, etc, yet it'd be wrong to call it a "Boomer" shooter because those are typically based upon ID & Apogee games from the 90s.
The other thing too is the people get to decide this.
Walking Sim was embraced by people, and now it's become a description for a whole sub-genre of games.

If you could be the master of any instrument, which one?
Because it makes the THX sound.

Which would you completely erase from the gaming industry if given a choice? NFTs or Lootboxes?
Lootboxes.
NFT's are already being isolated.
Lootboxes meanwhile have almost single handedly destroyed decent progression systems in games.

Are there any mechanics in older games that you would like to see return in modern ones?
I still really love the traversal of the old Thief games, mainly in being able to grab the edge of any ledge by holding down the spacebar. Even without animations, it just gave so much more freedom to explore environments.
I also miss the platforming of the original Tomb Raider games. In an age where most "cinematic" games just do the platforming automatically, it was really refreshing to have total control over an environment like that, though, there's an indie game coming out called Lorn's Lure that very much continues that style of game.

You exited or concerned about phantom liberty?
I'm excited to go back to that world as I really love everything about it. How the actual expansion will be, I'm just going in hoping to have a decent time in that world again, nothing major.

Have you played the SSX games before and will you do a retrospective on said game series?
I've only played SSX3, but absolutely adored that game growing up and still have the desire to go back and revisit it sometime. I wouldn't rule a retrospective out of the question.

Night City, huh? So should we expect "years later" video about Cyberpunk?
One day, the story of that game's making is still going.

PlayStation 2 era Gran Turismo or Xbox 360 era Forza Motorsport
Gran Turismo.
Honestly, while I like Forza, I've never been a fan of its core driving model even in the earlier games. Cars have so much weight and tires have so much grip that even downforce monsters like LMP1 cars still feel like they're on ice sometimes unless you're cranking the assists, though, that's also part of what gives the game it's own unique handling model to master.

What video you posted are you the most proud of?
I'm really happy with my last two videos, I think they're some of the best edting and pacing for the channel yet. However, seeing people re-evaluate their feelings on Mass Effect 3 after explaining the development, is hard to top.

With high quality anime/animated adaptations of video games seeming to be on the rise, what games would you like to see turned into anime/animated shows?
Considering the Dead Space remake is right around the corner, it would've been interesting to see EA give that brand a second chance like they have with Dragon Age recently.

Besides motorsports. Are you a fan of other sports?
I was actually training to be a Golf Pro before I decided to persue entertainment instead. Tiger Woods was and still is my hero.

since ya like black lagoon so much have ya tried yakuza?
Not yet, but I've thought about it, and Holy Shift was even recommending some games in the comments too. It's similar to Persona, where it's something I want to try, but need to set aside specific time for.
