Raycevick's Recommendations: Winter on Fire (Patreon)

While I might've recommended this film in my Metro Exodus video, Ukraine's sadly fallen under far worse circumstance since then. Obviously, you can't watch a documentary about history that's being made right now, but you can watch vital events that've ultimately led to this.

Winter on Fire is quite a remarkable film to watch. The imagery is genuinely breathtaking at times, during its most intense scenes of war and most heartwarming gathering of people. That acknowledgement of empathy and humanity is I think what separates it from many Docs, that get so caught up in showing horrifying acts of war, there's nothing to contrast it.
