Holy Shift Asks
SInce you seem to lean more towards heavier music lately, let me recommend to you a song: Boris – Farewell. Please share your thoughts on it. Alternatively, favorite picks from Korean or Japanese cinema?
I'm definitely ignorant when it comes to Korean and Japanese Cinema, the furthest I've really gone is watching Akira in Theatres, however, the little I've seen, I loved. Like everyone else, I watched Squid Game but also My Name, and that's a show I've recommended in the past on this page.
And thank you for this recommendation! I'm writing to it and really enjoying this.
The Great Leveler Asks
Do you have any games that you really like the ui of? I really like Deep Rock Galactic and Astroneer because pretty much everything that you use like missions selection, crafting terminals, resource collection, etc. Is all done in game and not on a boring menu screen. It makes the games much more immersive to me.
I really like Deep Rock's menus as well. For me, it's the charm rather than the immersion that carries it in that game, and I think a more serious game would get annoying to move around in.
There should always be different takes, but when it comes to menus, I've always held Halo Reach as the benchmark that most games still fail to get anywhere close to. That combination of functionality, presentation, and flexibility is for some reason, so often buried in sub-menu after sub-menu.
I think it has something to do with company research that likely shows you can squeeze more purchases out of people if you make your menus unnoteworthy except the shop, that's almost always bright, vibrant, and full of choice.
Ughhhhhhhhh.
