Raycevick's Recommendations: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2nd Gig) (Patreon)

I've held off on recommending Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex as I hadn't seen it in years, and are currently rewatching it with a friend. Doing so has confirmed my thoughts. While Season 1's very good, 2nd Gig, is the reason to watch.

Everything's elevated, voice-actors sound more comfortable in their roles, the visuals look great to this day,  and the variety in subject matter and styles of storytelling is just head and shoulders above the original... and Motoko doesn't have an infuriatingly stupid outfit for half the season.

The show's mixture of powerful episodic storylines and an intense main-plot make it one of the easiest and most entertaining to watch. 

I can't wait to reach the Solid State Society movie.
