Raycevick's Recommendations: Synthetik (Patreon)

I've collected so many games at this point, that when scrolling through the library, I don't even bother checking what genre, sales, or ratings are of a particular game. Just launch it completely blind, to see what it gives. Synthetik's one of the biggest surprises I've had doing this in a long while.

I've always loved the idea of Roguelikes. Replaying something to get further and further into it's demanding decent into hell, collecting new weapons and items along the way. But in practice, most I've experienced don't have the gameplay nor the loot to entice me beyond three hours.

Synthetik has both.

Superb combat, excellent visuals, and brilliantly fun to fire weapons, Synthetik is one of those games that regardless of taste or history, I'd happily recommend. It's got two player co-op, and you can try the first batch of levels in its Free to Play expansion, Arena.
