Recommendations: Mars Express (Patreon)

In a world of $200 Million dollars being wasted every other month on a reboot of a children's toy franchise, watching a movie this beautifully animated, well-written, perfectly paced, and nuanced, all made for ten million, gives me hope that no matter how stupid the entertainment industry gets, there's always some mega talent with the resources needed to make something great.

The facial animations in particular just floored me with their expressions, that feel hyper-real but never cross that line into uncanny valley, just like its very believable take on a futuristic setting.
