More Cat Potion (Patreon)

Cat potion is well underway, I've approached the production of this in a strange way this time where I'm finishing shots before I've boarded and blocked out the whole thing, its mostly to get a feel for the style I want to go with for this.

I'm using Clip Studio Paint for everything with this one and its been great so far, I love Adobe Animate but the brushes are so limited so I have once again switched software. 

I've attached a simple breakdown of my Cauldron pipe smoking shot to show you guys how simple and monkey brained my rough animation is, I just roughly sketch out where stuff has to be then jump into clean lines for this, I feel the less reliant I am on well drawn out rough guides the more character the animation ends up having and the less clean and tense it feels, I don't know if that translates though?

Anyway this is just another small update on this production, I'm compiling some breakdowns of the more interesting shots still as I go so can share those soon along with animatic etc!
