He walked out the door, his head abuzz with conflicting thoughts, his heart hurting. He'd been so alone, worthless. Purposeless. The doctor gave him the escape from the pointless reality he'd existed in, never truly lived. He'd fought for her, bled for her... Killed for her. And now she cast him aside. Not in the cruel manner of a fanatic, but like the mother eagle pushing him from the perch. It hurt. It kept hurting. He'd wanted to go comfort his twisted saviour. Instead, he needed comforting. Syfer awaited him on his right as he spun hard to his left to close the door behind, missing her outline in his haste and heartbreak. He feels the urge to lash out, thinking himself mercifully alone. He slaps his palm on the door, clenching his fingers slowly into a fist, clenching and baring his teeth. "How did it go?" The claws gouge hardened steel and bite into his palm. The pain was welcome. It stole attention from the emptiness in his chest, and calmed his urge to let loose a roar of anguish. "Hey..." He looks at her, his answer writ large on his expression. "Hey, I got you," Her hands were small against him, he hung his head and accepted the hug. "It's okay if you need a hug," He did.

Holy crap Eris the feels! We get to see how much more Harriet cares about the hybrid than her own feelings and it is honestly so touching. Runs thick with the vibe of a bad person who just wants to get one thing right, and your acting really drove it home. One of my favourites of yours, by far.
