It began in ancient Alemani with the Doppelsöldners of the Landsknecht. It evolved over the years as the Suina of the Alemanni thrust off the shackles of their Stallosi oppressors. In a world of magic and mysticism, those who would one day call themselves the Schweinan and found the mighty Kingdom of Schweinhold would cultivate a aetheric arte like few others in Therian history, the arte of the Schwertbrecher.

Known as Blade Breakers to the rest of the lands, these awoken are adept at using a combination of quintisry in mancery, to not manipulate, but disrupt and 'break' manipulations of mana. Using their Zweihänders, these warriors can disrupts spells and aetheral artes, but also, use there techniques to disrupt the gravitational pull on their massive weapons; able to swing a giant sword as if were a rapier. The effects of that particular part of the discipline is the act for which they are named.

Many opponents of the Landsknect would stand dumbfounded as the massive blades of their enemies would smash through magic, defenses, and even blades to fell they're targets.

Of course, the Schwertbrecher artes are alive and well even today, so many years after they were discovered during the Alemanni Rebellion. And one such practitioner, there Mercenary Princess and former Raven Knight Jonah Schwarzsturm is an exemplary of the craft.
