Unlike most officers within the Order, Megogo did not receive her Eldeidan, Boreas, from the vault. Instead, she came by the weapon on one of her first missions as a young Raven, freeing it from the grasp of a revenant that had long ago been it's first master. Having defeated and proven herself worthy of the weapon, the shade tasked her with using the ask to finish his mortal business by killing the mana beast that slayed him.

Megogo took on the shades request, if only to help lay the echoes of the one living essence to rest. Upon journeying to the cave in order to face the monster and reclaim the enchanted shield the warrior had lost, Megogo came to find that beast had already died long ago. Having crawl back to it's lair and died from wounds inflicted in the battle long ago. When she claimed the shield, Chione, for herself, she felt a strong resonance with the pair, forming a 'soul bond'.

Giving the extreme link between her and the talismans, the Primus at the time saw fit to let the young Raven keep the weapons. She has wielded them ever since.
