I found the lost file of this drawing, so I decided to post it with a little guide. This post is an encouragement for those who want to learn to draw.

Generally, I always follow the same steps to finish a drawing.

Sketch - Lineart - Flat colors - Full colors

  • When you have to color a drawing, always remember to decide where the light comes from. It will help you to understand shadows about the volumes of objects or people in the image.
  • Usually, after flat colors, I use a layer above these for shadows and lights. I paint  with a soft brush and I use lighter or darker tones of the base color.
  • You can also separate shadows and lights on two distinct levels.
  • The "type" of level is important. Use "multiply" or other effects to help yourself.
  • Remember. The color of light also changes the color of the portion of the object on which it is reflected. So, for example, a red light source will create a red glow.
  • When you think you're done, you can use the adjustment tools or a filter to improve your drawing.

Sorry for my poor English. I hope this little guide can help you. Remember to experiment and not give up. To draw can be difficult,  it is also it for me after so many years. Then continuous to try and you will improve!
