It is a bad age gap because he’s known her since before she was 18 right? Also there is a terrible power dynamic at play. He is a police officer and she is a high schools student. It’s just like how a teacher dating an 18 year old student is messed up.

Who cares about ships though... The reason people hate this season is because it gets really messy at some point and people are really irritated with Scott and the pack dynamic all together (you'll see why). I personally think season 5 is the best season along with season 2 and 3

I understand the 5a storyline with the pack dynamics and why it’s important going forward, but that doesn’t make it any easier or less heartbreaking to watch when all that happens! Especially at the end of 5x09 and 5x10

Lydia is a human still, in this show banshees are human women who have a connection to the supernatural allowing them to utilize it’s forces. It’s weird Ik. Which is why the werewolf bite won’t work on them or any supernatural phenomena like the moon and how it affects werewolves or mountain ash, which we see she was able to pick up in season 4 with no affect.
