CAP greed island better than hunter exams to me. Almost every shonen anime has a villain group so phantom would still probably exist without Kurapika. Personally, I liked the anti-climatic ending of the arc, it was a funny and good twist..

Gon would care about innocent people getting killed but not as much as you're valuing him. Gon is a psychopath. A lot traits you've seen already have shown he is extremely selfish and arrogant. Gon would care about innocent people but he wouldn't care about such people more than his own goals. So if had to choose between greed island and innocent people, he would choose greed island all day. Also if you've been paying attention you'd notice Gon and Killua's relationship is much more one-sided. And as you move through the arcs you notice it more. Killua will make a lot of concessions for Gon but Gon rarely reciprocates.

the only reason he cared about Pakunoda is because he had a personal connection. He doesn't care about random people on the street. If you go back to Zepile (the sculpture guy) he also makes a point of how Gon doesn't care about right or wrong. Gon would easily be friends with mass murderers and not really be too bothered about it. His morality is very, very, Gery. Just because Gon sounds cute, Gon is not what I'd call a nice person at all.

Basically in a nutshell Davion is saying he wishes there was a different outcome and for some reason Nathan is saying that wouldnt be possible after stating that he wouldnt know what the manga creator would do if there was no kurapika or phantom troupe. On one hand Nathan states we don't know what the Mangeka (manga creator) would do in certain situations but when davion expresses he wishes a different outcome and thoroughly explains the scenarios of these outcomes and then Nathan changes up and says that wouldn't be possible because these character wouldn't do these things. But dude in davion's ideal outcome the writer would change these characters to fit these narratives. I mean you even said its all int he writers hands, which is most def true and i completely agreed with you there. I just dont understand how you could disagree with someone else's anticipated outcome by saying it wouldn't happen BUT YOU'RE NOT THE WRITER REMEMBER lol. these argument be entertaining af tho

Very enlightning. yah he does care youre right about innocent people dying. I remembered the scene with gon and nobunaga arm wrestling and gon being super angry at nobunaga for caring about uvo but not about the scores of murders they commited
