I thought the graphic presentation was excellent, but rulers are used by boys? This was 1969. People were starting to say him or her by then. Womens' Lib was really getting into full swing.

That's a distorted view of history - Women's Lib was a despised fringe movement and very much out of the mainstream back then. And still is today, actually. ERA? Nope. This film was made for Vocational Schools and there were lots of systems in place back then to keep the workforce in machining very uniformly male. Girls were put into secretarial school to be typists, and home economics to be homemakers.
