This was recorded on April 2, 2019 and intended to be the third episode of the FranCast, but I decided not to publish it at the time because it was a downer topic and I wanted the podcast to be completely positive and upbeat -  but it is a good installment so I'm publishing it here as it was originally intended.

Dr Andy Hill

In the 7 weeks, I spent on the stroke unit following my stroke in 2010, 2 people on the unit died. And I had a little survivor's guilt, it's quite a nonsensical feeling isn't it, but traumatic in itself. Since then everyone that I hear that has died from a stroke, I feel that pang again, but mostly I realize how lucky I am to still be here. Don't know why I'm sharing this but it's one of the most significant events in my life. Yes, I do unashamedly wear my stroke as a badge of honor. Well people, pointless story over, as you were.

Similar situation for me, decided to lookup some high school friends and in several instances the first URL was an obituary announcement. Not the evening I expected to have at all.
